Fenton and I came home this weekend to do some tech work for
Hare Link, and also for me to write a paper away from the noisy dorm. (Yes, I forgot that Tree is bothered when I use a pencil sharpener; she says it makes her leaf stoma tighten.)
Over breakfast, Kell told me about her problems with the felines at work who dislike her being able to understand their language. She tries to explain that the very act of learning the speech of a different culture gives one empathy and understanding of that culture, but that just seemed to bother them more. Aby was in the room (She and Kell were having their regular morning coffee.) and agreed that learning canine made her appreciate the special challenges of Kell's species, such as trying to look dignified while panting.
Dad, meanwhile, had another school board meeting last week. He usually returns depressed from them since he how knows exactly and precisely how screwed up the system is, but he still has only one powerless minority vote to fix it.
