Rhonda rolled her eyes when I told her the resolution to Edgar's story (as relayed to me by Rudy). Her initial thought was, great...he finally found a dumb lioness who'd do all of his hunting for him. She thought better of him when I told her about the extenuating circumstances; that Leona and Edgar are hunting partners, and that he's even trying to get good enough to join Leona on the hunting team. For now, he's on the team's practice squad while Leona has taken Rhonda's place on the foursome with Rudy, Fiona and Bruno.
Rachel held that spot last season, and now she's preparing to start at Beige next week. Unlike the athletic Rhonda, Rachel doesn't have a career goal firmly in mind. She'll start with General Curriculum as her major, which means a lot of things will be unfamiliar enough to trigger her charging instinct.
More on Edgar; Leona's dad works at Herd Thinners, Inc. in the same capacity as Kell. In fact, they're often rivals for the same bonuses and rewards. (On occasion, I've wondered if Kell's desire to learn the feline language from Aby stemmed partly from wanting to know what Mr. Mangle was up to.)
