Dad came home from the latest school board meeting with some light reading material: textbooks that have to evaluated before the board buys them for the schools. It'll be challenge for him, as they'll be for all student groups including carnivores and omnivores. (He does, of course, have a certain amount of experience in dealing with variety.)
Fenton and I had a pleasant Valentine's Day. He's kept his death-defying flying stunts down to a minimum lately, after I told him they made me uncomfortable. He seemed genuinely surprised, and said that he assumed I liked danger due to my astronaut experience. I reminded him that despite the inherent risks of space travel, NASA puts safety first with a habit of building cautious triple-redundancy into their engineering. I think he understands the difference now.
He gave me three Valentine's Day cards, just in case two got lost. Very sarcastic.
