Rudy has always wrapped himself up in drama, so it’s somewhat surprising that it’s only now that he’s gotten involved in a school play: the classic “West Habitat Story.”
I understand that those of you who read the comic strip only found out about it this week, while in fact tryouts took place two months ago and rehearsals have been ongoing ever since. The play, along with the Hunting team, has kept Rudy out of trouble during the launch of Kell’s company.
The drama teacher is a raccoon named Ms. Procyon, and although she’s cast specific roles (i.e., Fiona as Maria) she’s insisting that the cast learns the entire play. That’s so others can fill in in case anyone flakes out at the last minute. Obviously, the woman is a veteran of many school plays.
Meanwhile, Fenton and I hosted Catherine Aura and about ten other avian associates. I prepared a spread of insect-based foods, and roadkill for Catherine. She showed me photos of her daughter Ursula, who exhibits bear-like qualities. She’s adorable.
We covered a lot of ground, and unfortunately I can’t divulge the particulars. Let’s just say that Fenton and I now have a lot of responsibility.
