Now both Kell and Dad are participants on Ninth Life. Kell's a tiger and Dad is a white cheetah. It makes me wonder how many other different species are impersonating felines in that virtual environment.
Of course familiarity of feline speech is a requirement, and Dad's skills are fairly limited in that regard. He's fluent in Wolf (of course! ...As I am, too.) but what he knows of cat speech is what he's picked up secondhand from Kell and Aby's language lessons.
He knows just enough to follow the general gist of conversations, but that's not really the point. His memory of Angelique leaving us for an online relationship is fresh in his mind, so he considers this just a preventative measure.
Kell doesn't mind, either. She enjoys exploring Ninth Life with Dad at her side since it means that tomcats won't be hitting on her.
BTW, last week I mentioned a "scent" card. Rudy once saw that product marketed and he considered buying one, but it turned out to be vaporware.
